Apostle Leonard Lucas, Jr. is a native New Orleanian. He is the spouse of Varnise Mason Lucas for thirty- eight years and the father of two children, Varanise Maria Massey, and Leonard Lucas, III. He is a proud grandfather of Jaiden Kamryn Lenora and Elmo Leon Jr.

The Light City Church School of the Prophets is a training institute for those who sense the flow and pull of the prophetic upon their lives. The mandate of the School is just as it was in Old Testament days, "to train men and women effectively in the prophetic."

LCCA is a small school located in inner-city New Orleans. The Academy is the realization of the vision of Apostle Leonard and Varnise Lucas. At the inception of the Academy, their goal was and continues to be, "to educate children according to the highest academic standards possible while preparing them to become responsible leaders.
